This Machine works on the basic principle of specific gravity. The incoming product is received through the regulatory valve; the stock is introduced to sieve through a flap provided for uniform distribution. Oscillation and air blow under the sieve makes the grain to move to & fro, which causes the particles of higher specific gravity (stones) ascend while the particles of lower specific gravity (rice) descend down floating on the surface. The separation is achieved due to the difference in specific gravity of the grain and stones. By means of the conveying movement and the inclination of the sieve the particles of higher specific gravity (stones) are transported in upward direction to the collecting box, while the particles of lower specific gravity (rice) are transported in the downward direction to the out let.


The De – Stoner does not require any special foundation. The angle frame is already provided for this purpose.
            Machine should be properly leveled. Only four 3/8” rawl bolts are sufficient for it’s grouting. If the Model P.D.S. 250 is to be installed, its air out let must be kept in mind. Proper distance should be maintained from the other Machines at least 2/½’ is recommended for easy dismantling of fan & oscillating shafts.


Before putting the Machine into operation make sure that the connections of the Electric Motor are properly done. It’s over load relay is properly adjusted.
Be sure that the adjustable valve & the gravity flaps are in proper working condition.
The consistent, uniformly spreaded feed is necessary for the efficient working of the Machine .
     When the light particles on the sieve are whirling too much, & the granular product of higher specific gravity does not go up ward, adjust the air it could be on higher side. Machine will be in excellent working condition if the uniformly spreaded layer of grain will be on the screen


Sieves can be cleaned by opening the plastic glass shutter ed. It is a dual-purpose shutter, i.e.,

  1. Easy to reach the sieve for cleaning.
  2. Used as Inspection window.

A wire brush is best for cleaning of the sieve. Clean the sieve thoroughly especially underneath  every  day.
The bearings should be lubricated every 3 months from each grease Nipple provided for this purpose.
